Anything can be a lesson for Judah. As long as I make it that way. Somedays, I just feel like it’s too much effort. But the days I do get around to creating something for him (big or small), I’m always so glad I did. It usually keeps Judah busy for some length of time, he typically enjoys it and gets something educational out of it, and I feel like a better mama! Win Win Win!
Breakfast this morning was a banana. And although it would take me 2.5 seconds to peel a banana for Judah and put it on a plate (okay…sometimes there isn’t even a plate!) what’s even better is if he gets to do that all on his own.
Here is what you need:
-Two little curious hands
Cut the ends off the banana and then cut the banana in thirds (or half if your little helper has a shorter attention span)
Slice the peel down the middle on all three pieces of banana.
Show your little helper that the peel goes in one bowl and the banana goes in the other bowl. If you child is anything like mine, he will try to eat the peel (even after you tell him it’s ‘icky’ and he’s already tasted and spit it out twice)
When Judah was done peeling the banana I had him take the bowl of peels to the garbage and dump them out.
Yummy! As you can see my exciting breakfast ideas are lacking (in the exciting dept.). Do you have any fun breakfast ideas that you use on your kiddos?
