My name is Krista.
I love God, my family, the smell of the ocean, anything white and turquoise, singing loudly, chocolate cookies, organizing, crafty stuff, dancing and making people smile.
I also have a deep passion for education and healthy living.
But really, I’m just another mom in this lucky generation of bloggers that gets to stay home with my kids, take care of my family and attempt to contribute to my unhealthy decorating habit.
I’ve been married to my wonderful husband, Ryan for a little over seven years. We live in Michigan (he’s a native, and I’ve been here for a decade!). I get to be a stay-at-home-Mommy and homeschooling teacher to our two little boys, Judah is 5 and in Kindergarten. Dex is 3 and is a typical preschool boy. I enjoy teaching Montessori-style at home, with our own little traditional touches to it. I spent a couple years in a Montessori classroom, and although I love Montessori, I do feel that it is missing some things in this generation. If only Maria Montessori could come back and redesign her curriculum for us! I like to incorporate lots of lifestyle lessons into our daily schedule: household chores, finances and all of the other important things in life that aren’t taught in our public schools.
I love everything crafty – sewing, painting, home decorating, baking, gluing, hammering and occasionally (ok, very frequently) starting projects that I never finish. I’m a work in progress.
Please join us as we blog about life, kids, parenting, decorating, crafting, making people smile and any other events that fit into our little world.
