It’s been a while since I’ve blogged. Blog world has missed me. And I have missed it back. And so, here I come crawling out of the woodwork, begging for your forgiveness. It might be a little bit easier to forgive me when you see this little nugget of yummyness…
Nope. This is not a joke. We made him.
And no, he is not for sale (umhmm…old man in elevator at doctor’s office yesterday).
I did not, however, take these amazing pictures. So, if you are in the area and in need of a super awesome, adorably pregnant, baby whispering photographer, then you should scurry on over to Keri Harrison Photography and get on her schedule before she is all booked up for the season! Great pictures, fabulous prices, and a fun chick to hang out with!
With a little more bragging, we welcome Maddex Leif into the world. He didn’t really want to come out, because apparently I am a pretty cozy baby-crockpot, but we finally got him to join us out here and boy, are we happy about it! He is absolutely perfect! So far, he really digs: sleeping in his nap nanny, eating, watching baseball with his dad, sleeping in mommy’s new Ergo carrier, eating, watching his brother play all day, eating and of course…eating. He has already gained two pounds and is only three weeks old! Talk about a porky girl magnet! That’s alright; it’s free and it makes for some pretty big laughs around here when Judah runs through the house yelling “Maddex is eating boobs!”
Speaking of Judah, now would be the time that I will accept all parenting advice on the topic of ‘crazy toddler doing everything he knows he shouldn’t do in order to get my attention’. This Mama is ready to blow a firecracker out of her ears if something doesn’t change soon. He really likes the baby, so that is not an issue. It’s the listening and the really horrible, terrible, painful, devastatingly bad behavior that he has developed in the last 5 days. Grandma went home last week, and this household is feeling her absence. (Thanks a lot, mom). Mmmm..kidding. Kinda.
On an exciting, Judah note, we will be starting preschool in two weeks at a brand new Montessori school just a few minutes away. Two [glorious] [toddler-free] [quiet] [relaxing] mornings a week where he can learn and grow and experience and drive someone else crazy. (I really do love my kid, a lot. Promise.) I’m just super excited for him to get some montessori time, a little socialization and I’m really hoping that a new set of adults in his life will have a little affect on him, because clearly mommy and daddy aren’t very intimidating right now.
Here are a couple more pics to hold you over till my next post. Which I promise won’t be next June.
