Jim and I went to an estate sale last Sunday.
Disclaimer: please excuse me while I learn how to get the pictures from my camera onto my computer and then from my computer to here! Phew!
Anyway, google gave us the wrong directions and we were leaving the area when Lea (a girl from the estate sale) called me back with the correct route. What a great estate sale!
We purchased a set of matching sitting chairs for the second bedroom in our New Orleans house.
a large painting by Don Reggio, a native Louisianan artist from the 70’s that has become very well known in Louisiana and throughout the US.
and two smaller paintings by M. Feazel.
I also purchased a cemetery piece for my front yard in North Carolina, an end table for our bedroom in New Orleans, a Tennessee plate, and a coffee cup.
I won’t tell you what we spent, but I will tell you that we usually do not spend that much. Whatever!!! Anyway, next time I will have my camera and take more pictures.
To look for estate sales in your neighborhood, go to www.estatesales.net. Type in your zip code and you will find them. When you finally make it to an estate sale, ask the sales people to put you on their mailing list. Find a babysitter. Estate sales are not great places for little ones!
